Pakistan does not need this Zardari’s democratic system. We need a different system based on Pakistan’s political. cultural, geographical and social history. But, no dictatorship either, military or civil like Zardari’s.
If you have 100 million then you will be able to launch a campaign in one constituency and there are 272 constituency in pakistan so multiply by 100000000*272 = Rs. 27200000000. and we have two major political parties so multiply by 2 * 27200000000 = Rs. 54400000000. and we have numerous small political parties then add more approx like half of each party amount that means 27200000000/2 = 13600000000 then 13600000000 with 54400000000 = Rs. 68000000000.
You know what 68000000000 means its 68 billion rupees and if we divide it with dollar rate which is approx 90 now that means 7600000000 $ and that seven hundred and sixty million dollars are spent on a corrupt political system and in the end. But. what is the return for Pakistani people on this huge investiment.? Pakistan gets a National Assembly of matric pass, dacoits, land mafias, bhatta mafias, sugar mafias (Zardari, AS THEIR LEADER), gangsters, foreign lobbyists (ASMA JEHANGIR) and capitalists (Sharmila Faruqi) or zamindar waderas (Yusuf Raza Gilani and Zardari).
I am not including the senate election in the above. so calculate it too.
There are a 100 senators. I assume that if half of the senate election seats are bought and paid for. Then cost of one seat is as follows: one seat may requires around 100 million rupees, then multiply by 100 million with 50 which will be 5 billion rupees and add this to the numbers above.
Its a huge amount which is spent for what? For destroying organizations like PIA, Steel Mill, NICL, Railway and ……………so on, ad infinitum.
This amount can be spent for social development work. But, this looting will not stop yet because,
after winning the election what will they do? Their first priority is to recover election expenses, the remaining looted amount will be sent to foriegn banks.Then they start looting for the next election and filling Dubai and Swiss accounts, and then remaining will be spent on luxurious Mercedes, London flats, millions on jewelleries for their fat wives and slim mistresses and what will be spent on the nation:Zero. To keep their powerful positions, the will borrow from where??? The short answer is IMF and World Bank, USAID, and UN Aid.
What a cracking system it is!!
What a system that Western Imperialist discovered for us wretched former colonies. We live in perpetual chaos, while they enjoy the luxuries of modernity. May a plague fell their houses! Amen.
