I never regretted embracing Islam By Prof. Khadijah Watson

Prof. Khadijah Watson, formerly Sue Watson, was, as she admits, “a radical Christian fundamentalist,” accepted Islam when she found consistencies in the message, she said in the following narrative:

WHAT happened to you?” This was usually the first reaction I encountered when my former classmates, friends and co-pastors saw me after having embraced Islam. I suppose I couldn’t blame them, I was a highly unlikely the person to change religions. Formerly, I was a professor, pastor, church planter and missionary. If anyone was a radical fundamentalist it was I.

I had just graduated with my Master’s Degree of Divinity from an elite seminary five months before. It was after that time I met a lady who had worked in Saudi Arabia and had embraced Islam. Of course, I asked her about the treatment of women in Islam. I was shocked at her answer. It wasn’t what I expected; so I proceeded to ask other questions relating to God and Muhammad (may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him). She informed me that she would take me to the Islamic Center where they would be better able to answer my questions.
Having taught Evangelism, I was quite shocked at their approach, it was direct and straightforward. No intimidation, no harassment, no psychological manipulation, no subliminal influence! I couldn’t believe it. They gave me some books and told me if I had some questions they were available to answer them in the office. That night I read all of the books they gave. It was the first time I had ever read a book about Islam written by a Muslim, we had studied and read books about Islam only written by Christians. The next day I spent 3 hours at the office asking questions. This went on every day for a week, by which time I had read 12 books and knew why Muslims are the hardest people in the world to convert to Christianity. Because there is nothing to offer them! In Islam, there is a relationship with God, forgiveness of sins, salvation and promise of eternal life.
It is interesting to note that there were bishops during the first 300 years of the Church that were teaching as the Muslim believes, that Jesus (may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him) was a prophet and teacher! It was only after the conversion of Emperor Constantine that he was the one to call and introduce the doctrine of the Trinity.
He introduced a paganistic concept that goes back to Babylonian times. Space, however, does not permit me to go into detail about the subject, but God willing, we will another time. Only, I must point out that the word Trinity is not found in the Bible in any of its many translation nor is it found in the original Greek or Hebrew languages!

I was fired from my job as I was teaching in two Bible Colleges at that time, ostracized by my former classmates, professors and co-pastors, disowned by my husband’s family, misunderstood by my adult children and suspected by my own government. Without the faith that enables man to stand up to Satanic forces I would not have been able to withstand all of this. I am ever so grateful to God that I am a Muslim and may I live and die a Muslim.
“Truly, my prayer, my service of sacrifice, my life and my death are all for God the Cherisher of the Worlds. No partner has He, this I am commanded. And I am the first of those who bow to God in Islam.” (Qur’an, 6:162-163)

Pakistan’s progress is slow due to corruption and incompetence in country: CJP

Pakistan’s progress is slow due to corruption and incompetence in country: CJP

CJP

Pakistan’s steps toward progress and prosperity are being slowed down by corruption and incompetence, said Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Saturday.

Addressing the Azad Kashmir Judicial Conference 2016 at a reception here, the chief justice said the country could be put on the path to progress and prosperity by eliminating corruption and incompetence.

He said 60 percent of cases had been pending with the high court’s for a long time and the main reasons for the backlog were incompetence, negative thinking, and corruption in government departments.

He said 20 percent cases were pending in the courts due to mala fide intentions, egotism and the case for case trend.

He said judges were the servants of the masses and not their rulers.  He said the attitude of judges towards the parties should be positive, God-fearing, tolerant and amicable during the hearing of cases.

He further added that peace was impossible without a judicial system and that self-accountability was inevitable for good governance. “Since judges perform a sacred duty, their attitude should be positive in the courts,” he said.

Justice Jamali said improvement could be brought in the judicial system through the use of the latest technology and there was also a need to benefit from the experiences of other countries in this regard. He said corruption and incompetence were eating the country like termites.

Justice Jamali said Kashmiris must be allowed to exercise their right to self-determination in accordance with the UN resolutions. He said the Muslim countries were facing conspiracies from outside while inside they faced chaos.

He said the bar was an important part of the judicial system and therefore the duties of its members were manifold.

“Creation of an effective society is impossible without flushing out basic social ailments,” he added.  He said it was the responsibility of judges to change their attitude and fulfill the requirements of the Constitution and the law.

He urged the bar to cooperate with the judiciary in order to improve the judicial system.

CJP urged the bar not to pressurise judges so that the court proceedings could be completed in a pleasant atmosphere.   Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir also addressed the conference.

NAWAZ SHARIF aka SHER SHAH SURI THE SECOND :(

‘About Nawaz Sharif, my observations although from short encounters in late nineteen eighties remain unchanged; rather get reinforced due to his conduct during later years. On 6 September 1985, when he had taken over as Chief Minister of Punjab few months back, he was to lay floral wreath at the monument of Major Aziz Bhatti, Shaheed, Nishan- e- Haider at BRB Canal east of Lahore. I was to host him on that short military function. Before his arrival, a car load of his cronies arrived. From their conversation in exchanging notes I could make out that each of them had made a few Crore rupees in some deals in those few months of their being close to the new Chief Minister. (Crore rupees was a very big amount in those days). Nawaz Sharif arrived and was straightaway conducted to lay wreath, a short ceremony, over in about fifteen minute’s time.  Those cronies got closer to him when he was leaving. He was barely audible while talking to them, giving impression of an insecure person, unsure about himself and his position.  On another occasion he was brought along to Lahore Garrison Golf Club by the President, General M Zia ul Haq who took him around the course trying to teach him golf. My unit, 27 Punjab was responsible to develop the newly laid golf course, and I, as Secretary of the Club was to remain closer to them. I was amazed at the patience of General Zia ul Haq who made Nawaz Sharif hit the balls a number of times from one spot before moving forward to take next shot. I could not make out what was real purpose of undertaking such seemingly useless exercise by the President. Being in the profession of dealing with men, my observation was that Nawaz Sharif was a dumb person, easy to exploit, a perilous weakness in a person leading government of a nuclear armed country.

Jokes invented, although not true, reflect the bent of mind of target persons. In the backdrop of reports of getting huge kickbacks and commissions in mega projects by the ruling elite, a famous joke invented some years back goes as follows. On inauguration ceremony of a major road completed with lot of fanfare, a sycophant suggested that the chief guest performing opening ceremony should be given the title of ‘Sher Shah Suri Sani’ (Sher Shah Suri, the Second). Curious, the chief guest asked, “Who was Sher Shah Suri?” When he was told that Sher Shah Suri was a King of India who laid the Grand Trunk Road covering his Kingdom from Peshawar to Bengal spanning thousands of kilometers; spontaneous remarks attributed to the chief guest were that “He must have made lot of money”.’ 🙄
