We are the problem and none else

Asif Haroon Raja

Pakistan suffers from multiple ailments. None care to carry out an appraisal as to what is wrong with Pakistan and why Pakistan is perpetually sick and not getting cured. Over a period of time, we seem to have lost our direction and have gone astray. The society as a whole is sunk in the pool of moral degeneration. High morals, principles, ethics, values, respect, brotherhood, affections and honesty are all stories of the past. Lies, deception, crookery, thuggery and corruption have become norms. Majority has chosen dishonesty as a way of life. In the past these traits were mostly found among the elites but now these have permeated down to the lowest class of people. All prefer to live in hypocrisy, mendacity, and squalor. People are averse to speaking the truth since telling the truth requires courage and character. Afraid of consequences, we go the easy way and in the process we have become addicted to lying. Those who say that these characteristics are found in every country of the world, and each human being has these tendencies may not be speaking the whole truth since these collective diseases are in abundance in Pakistan and are not seen anywhere else.

It is hard to get food items free of adulteration. Pure ghee is made out of fats of dead dogs and donkeys. Meat of donkeys and dead cows/buffaloes are sold in meat shops. Drugs including lifesaving drugs are spurious. We consume contaminated spices, cooking oil, milk and soft drinks. Fakery in all our dealings is rampant. Child labor, child abuse, human trafficking, hoarding, black marketing, smuggling, kidnapping for ransom, extortion are common. Lower courts and police can easily be swayed or bought. Police instead of catching the culprits and criminals gets in league with them. Hand of law fall upon the poor only. Our law makers are the biggest violators of rule of law. They either break or bend laws to suit their convenience. We indulge in them rather than striving to overcome them. We may deny it but the world perceives us that way. Instead of working hard to overcome our weak areas we lament and blame others for our failings.

Sickness is within ourselves. The students choose to plagiarize and cheat. Men and women enter into marriage under false pretenses. Pompousness and vulgar show of wealth by the rich is in fashion, and so is nepotism and sycophancy. Suffering from superiority complex, the elites look down upon the poor. Problem lies with those who allow religion to give them a sense of false complacency. And those who pander to the powerful and the mighty, and ignore the weak and the frightened.

May I hazard to ask them who their gods are? Not Allah, surely. Their gods are flawed beings whom they admire and worship, and their own base selves. Parents who chastise their children, but never spend time with them, explaining right from wrong, the problem lies with them. And they try to assuage their children with toys and electronics, cars and jewels. Problem lies with the teaching community in schools and colleges who fall much short of acting as role models for the students.

Undoubtedly, Pakistan suffers from leadership crisis and is saddled with corrupt leaders and legislators who care a lot for their vested interests but little for national interests, but we are responsible for electing them again and again. We get swayed by their false promises and forget their past follies. We think in terms of political party affiliations, ethnic, linguistic and caste basis and pay little heed to national interests.  As a result, we are a divided nation and despite being a nuclear power and blessed with strong armed forces, everyone whips Pakistan. While Corruption is eating into the vitals of the country like a termite, terrorism is jolting the very foundations of Pakistan.

Isn’t it high time to stop thinking that the problem is the army, the politicians, the mullahs, the nation? The problem is us. We are the problem. The same students who plagiarise their papers, who cheat in their exams, are clamoring at rallies screaming for “Inquilab”. The same women and men who point fingers at the immoral leaders are cheating on their spouses. The same men who lambast the feudals and industrialists are cheating on their taxes and not paying their electricity bills. The same people who donate so much money to the poor are underpaying their servants.
Each and every person in Pakistan contributes to this system. We are the problem.
And each person who says, “Not me, I’m honest” is the biggest liar of all.

Nuclear might, strong army, and full coffers will neither make us a strong nation, nor will help in making us morally strong and virtuous. Each one of us will have to carry out self-accountability and put his/her own house in order rather than finding faults in others. Home is the best training centre followed by the educational institute to guide the youth towards constructive channels. These two reformatory laboratories need to play their role effectively. Once we bridge the societal divides and get united, improve our moral fibre and follow the righteous path as inscribed in the Quran and taught by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), only then will Allah shower His blessings, and grant us an upright, honest, pious and bold leader who will cure the diseases of Pakistan and make it healthy and prosperous. Only then we as a nation will be able to confront the internal and external challenges squarely and lead an honorable life.

Bisma Baloch’s Killer:The Scoundrel Bilawal Zardari Who Blocked Roadway & Hospital Access

Bisma Baloch’s Killer:The Scoundrel Blocked Roadways & Hospital Access

Time to Ponder

8 months old Bisma, died in the arms of her father running frantically from door to door to enter emergency room of civil hospital Karachi.
Roads remained closed because of VVIP Movement.
BISMA HATES, ROAD BLOCKS.
Faisal Baloch, the father of baby girl Bisma who died last Wednesday when Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari came to inaugurate the trauma centre at Civil Hospital, Karachi, complained on Tuesday that the Sindh government has yet to fulfil its promises despite assurances by PPP leaders.

“My daughter died because of the system [protocol],” said the father. Rejecting police inquiry into the matter, he said, “I don’t blame anyone for the demise of my girl but I feel her separation very badly.”

Infant dies as Bilawal’s security prevents family from entering hospital

The 10-month-old baby girl died on Wednesday when Bilawal was inaugurating the newly constructed trauma centre at the Civil Hospital Karachi. The father, who rushed his sick girl to the hospital, was allegedly denied entry into the hospital due to protocol.

Baloch said that Bilawal assured him that two jobs in the public sector would be given to him while his house will also be reconstructed. “Nothing has been provided to me as yet,” he said.

Explaining his financial condition, Faisal said that he was jobless for the last two months, saying it was a hard time for him and his family. “I am not an educated person but a technically sound one,” he said.

On the other hand, Bilawal’s political secretary and member of party’s central executive committee, Jamil Soomro, said, “All promises to Faisal Baloch will be fulfilled.” He said that the party chairperson visited Bisma’s family before leaving for Larkana, adding that he had reached Karachi on Tuesday.

Equal before the law: Citizens raise awareness against ‘VIP culture’

“The chairman also assured Faisal that he would himself see the investigation report and no one will be allowed any leniency,” said Soomro. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Soomro said that he will meet Faisal and will resolve his issues, including providing him a job at a suitable place.

Meanwhile, the residents of the area, Lyari, continue to meet the aggrieved father daily and ask him to stand by his word against protocol system that takes the life of innocent people. “Lyari’s youth supports Bisma’s family,” said Musawwar Ali, a resident living near Baloch’s home. “We’ll not leave him alone. If he goes against the system, the whole of Lyari will be with him.”

“In a system where there is an increase in intolerance towards the rights of others, combined with enormous support for the political system – which permits or foments these types of attitudes – you have a group of respondents who create the conditions for an authoritative government to find support.”

Pakistan’s poor and hungry masses strive all day to earn enough to buy a loaf or bread or roti to feed the family. Pakistan’s poor have to daily suffer abuse and indignities and torture at the hand of poorly paid but professionally brutal police. Sometime ago, in Karachi, police brutality reached a peak, when a police head constable, poured boiling oil on Ayaz, a poor potato chips peddler in Karachi. The poor man suffered burns on 100 percent of his body. The policeman got away with it, as the IG Police of Sindh & Superintendents of Karachi Police tried to shove the case under the rug. (Karachi police is a slave of PPP and its Jiyalas, they serve as pimps escorting Bilawal Zardari, a moneyed male prostitute and a liability on Sindh. Bilawal never worked one day in his life for a living; truly a parasite feeding on the wealth of Sindhis of Tharparkar and interior Sindh). The head constable is walking around scott-free, while the poor potato chip peddler is fighting for his life.

How can countries like UK, NATO, & US provide aid to City Governments like Karachi, whose police force is one of the most brutal in the world. Pakistan’s state institutions like police have deteriorated into torture factories, where Abu Gharaib seems like picnic, brutal, Gestapo-like goon squads made up of thugs, have been recruited by the crookedest man in Pakistan, Asif Zardari into Sindh police. Inept control freak corrupt buffoons Asif Zardari, Bilawal Zardari, and Owais Tappi, and mafia of Sindhi waderas or feudal lords, rules the Sindh Province.  The Federal Government, run by Nawaz Sharif is worse. It is inept and incompetent, wasting precious resources in grandiose self-serving projects like Metro, Super Highways, and Civil Projects. There is no accountability or fiscal oversight over the intrinsic corruption built into the governmental spending. The country is run like a fiefdom of Lord Nawaz Sharif and his Royal family.

What Shaikh Saadi Shirazi said about Nawaz Sharif and his Kashmiri Biradari, including Khawaja Asif rings true to this day.

“AWWAL AFGHAN,

DO-EM KAMBO,

SOEM BADZAAT KASHMIRI”

Khawaja Asif today appeared in Hamid Mir’s. Through mutual banter Hamid Mir, a Kashmiri, provided a fig leaf to Khawaja Asif to backtrack and soften his tone.

Hamid Mir insulted the intellectual capabilities of 180 Million Pakistanis by talking down to them in a typical patronizing manner.

Does this ghadaar Hamid Mir, a “Kashmiri Hathoo,” think Pakistanis are stupid?

Does he think Pakistanis are not on to his game?

Pakistani Army has fought for Azadi of Kashmir for 65 years and lost thousands of its soldiers in Kashmir.

But, Badzaat Kashmiri Nawaz Sharif and Khawaja Asif are rewarding Pakistani Army by demonizing it.

Nawaz Sharif’s main sycophant or chamcha Khawaja Asif is the man in-charge of demonization of Pakistan Army.

As a Kashmiri, he has lived up to his Badzaat Reputation.

Nawaz Sharif made him as Defence Minister to use him as his Junkyard Dog against Pakistan Army.

After appointing a Hijra Raheel Sharif (only a half-hearted whimper of protest came from this “sifarishi tuttwo” COAS).

Nawaz Sharif knows that he can say whatever he wants to weaken Pakistan Army, because his mule the COAS will go wherever Nawaz shoves his danda in him.

This will be Nawaz Sharif’s service to his US masters, who want to destroy Pakistan Army (little knowing that it will backfire,

As all the fanatic demons will let loose in whole of South Asia.). Who can talk sense to US, which goes from one ill-fated foreign policy decision to another?

Manipulated the election to bring him in power. The lead manipulator representing was the CIA asset Najam Sethi. Nawaz rewarded him with keeping the plump, graft ridden PCB chairmanship.

Birds of a feather flock together. Kashmiri Nawaz Sharif is using a Kashmiri Khawaja Asif to do his dirty work to weaken the role of Pakistan Army. And create a divide between the Army and people of Pakistan. This is in support of Nawaz Sharif’s dream of becoming the first President of United India or Akhand Bharat. A role promised to him by Clinton and ManMohan Singh.

From now on, no matter how many shaheeds Pakistan Army has, Nawaz Will demean Pakistan Army till he destroys its battlefield morale.

Nawaz Sharif, if not stopped now, will eventually destroy Pakistan.

Pakistan Army is fighting terrorism on four fronts:

  1. International Border infiltration from India

  1. Cross Afghan-Pakistan terrorism supported by Indian intelligence RAW. It trains terrorists and sends them to kill innocents. One glaring example is the massacre of 132 Army Public School children ages 6-15, massacred last December in Peshawar. Ajit Doval, Security Advisor of Indian Prime Minister, planned and boasted about his operational successes in Pakistan.

  1. Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is a Fifth Columnist in cahoots with the Indian Army Intelligence. The main reason is Nawaz Sharif’s antipathy towards Pakistan army, who’s COAS, has prove timid and ineffective in controlling the stealth infiltration of Indians in all Pakistani institutions. A glaring example is several Hindutva Hindus; agents of RAW are working in Sharif owned Ramzan Sugar Mills in Chiniot. Ostensibly, brought to introduce bagasse technology. All of these engineers are part of RAW trained contingent.
  2. Pakistan’s Finance minister makes sure that strategic defence project and needs of armed forces are not met. This is the game plan of Nawaz Sharif to weaken Pakistan Armed Forces, so they do not give resistance when enemy walks in.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has a penchant for exotic sex. He traipses around the globe, from Bangkok, Thailand, London & Dubai looking for high-end brothels to satisfy his gargantuan sex addiction.  So, a poor potato chip peddler lives or die is not in his priorities, which focus only on his growing business empire in India and elsewhere.

Nawaz Sharif excels only in his sex drive, as also symbolized by his parties political symbol a Tiger. Pakistan’s poor in Nawaz Sharif’s opinion should go and eat Ras Malaee! Sher Aya, Sher Aya is the mantra of the poor and indigent, who are promised castles of gold and silver by 2016. And the beat goes on…

The tax-to-GDP ratio was the highest in the last 11 years. Exports were witnessing a downward trend, which was due to lower commodity prices and recession in various export markets.
