MUSLIMS ARE FUNDAMENTALISTS AND TERRORISTS
Question:
Why are most of the Muslims fundamentalists and terrorists?
Answer:
This question is often hurled at Muslims, either directly or indirectly, during any discussion on religion or world affairs. Muslim stereotypes are perpetuated in every form of the media accompanied by gross misinformation about Islam and Muslims. In fact, such misinformation and false propaganda often leads to discrimination and acts of violence against Muslims. A case in point is the anti-Muslim campaign in the American media following the Oklahoma bomb blast, where the press was quick to declare a ‘Middle Eastern conspiracy’ behind the attack. The culprit was later identified as a soldier from the American Armed Forces.
Let us analyze this allegation of ‘fundamentalism’ and ‘terrorism’:
1. Definition of the word ‘fundamentalist’
A fundamentalist is a person who follows and adheres to the fundamentals of the doctrine or theory he is following. For a person to be a good doctor, he should know, follow, and practise the fundamentals of medicine. In other words, he should be a fundamentalist in the field of medicine. For a person to be a good mathematician, he should know, follow and practise the fundamentals of mathematics. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of mathematics. For a person to be a good scientist, he should know, follow and practise the fundamentals of science. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of science.
2. Not all ‘fundamentalists’ are the same
One cannot paint all fundamentalists with the same brush. One cannot categorize all fundamentalists as either good or bad. Such a categorization of any fund amentalist will depend upon the field or activity in which he is a fundamentalist. A fundamentalist robber or thief causes harm to society and is therefore undesirable. A fundamentalist doctor, on the other hand, benefits society and earns much respect.
3. I am proud to be a Muslim fundamentalist
I am a fundamentalist Muslim who, by the grace of Allah, knows, follows and strives to practise the fundamentals of Islam. A true Muslim does not shy away from being a fundamentalist. I am proud to be a fundamentalist Muslim because, I know that the fundamentals of Islam are beneficial to humanity and the whole world. There is not a single fundamental of Islam that causes harm or is against the interests of the human race as a whole. Many people harbour misconceptions about Islam and consider several teachings of Islam to be unfair or improper. This is due to insufficient and incorrect knowledge of Islam. If one critically analyzes the teachings of Islam with an open mind, one cannot escape the fact that Islam is full of benefits both at the individual and collective levels.
4. Dictionary meaning of the word ‘fundamentalist’
According to Webster’s dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ was a movement in American Protestanism that arose in the earlier part of the 20th century. It was a reaction to modernism, and stressed the infallibility of the Bible, not only in matters of faith and morals but also as a literal historical record. It stressed on belief in the Bible as the literal word of God. Thus fundamentalism was a word initially used for a group of Christians who believed that the Bible was the verbatim word of God without any errors and mistakes.
According to the Oxford dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ means ‘strict maintenance of ancient or fundamental doctrines of any religion, especially Islam’.
Today the moment a person uses the word fundamentalist he thinks of a Muslim who is a terrorist.
5. Every Muslim should be a terrorist
Every Muslim should be a terrorist. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the antisocial elements of society, such as thieves, dacoits and rapists. Whenever such an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word ‘terrorist’ is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to selective people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.
6. Different labels given to the same individual for the same action, i.e. ‘terrorist’ and ‘patriot’
Before India achieved independence from British rule, some freedom fighters of India who did not subscribe to non-violence were labeled as terrorists by the British government. The same individuals have been lauded by Indians for the same activities and hailed as ‘patriots’. Thus two different labels have been given to the same people for the same set of actions. One is calling him a terrorist while the other is calling him a patriot. Those who believed that Britain had a right to rule over India called these people terrorists, while those who were of the view that Britain had no right to rule India called them patriots and freedom fighters.
It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be analyzed, and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly.
7. Islam means peace
Islam is derived from the word ‘salaam’ which means peace. It is a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world.
Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the Religion of Peace: Islam. He should be a terrorist only towards the antisocial elements in order to promote peace and justice in the society.
WAS ISLAM SPREAD BY THE SWORD?
Question:
How can Islam be called the religion of peace when it was spread by the sword?
Answer:
It is a common complaint among some non-Muslims that Islam would not have millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. The following points will make it clear, that far from being spread by the sword, it was the inherent force of truth, reason and logic that was responsible for the rapid spread of Islam.
1. Islam means peace.
Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt).
2. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace.
Each and every human being in this world is not in favour of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and anti-social elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.
3. Opinion of historian De Lacy O’Leary.
The best reply to the misconception that Islam was spread by the sword is given by the noted historian De Lacy O’Leary in the book ’Islam at the cross road’ (Page 8):
’History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myth that historians have ever repeated.’
4. Muslims ruled Spain for 800 years.
Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. The Muslims in Spain never used the sword to force the people to convert. Later the Christian Crusaders came to Spain and wiped out the Muslims. There was not a single Muslim in Spain who could openly give the adhan, that is the call for prayers.
5. 14 million Arabs are Coptic Christians.
Muslims were the lords of Arabia for 1400 years. For a few years the British ruled, and for a few years the French ruled. Overall, the Muslims ruled Arabia for 1400 years. Yet today, there are 14 million Arabs who are Coptic Christians i.e. Christians since generations. If the Muslims had used the sword there would not have been a single Arab who would have remained a Christian.
6. More than 80% non-Muslims in India.
The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India are non-Muslims. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness today that Islam was not spread by the sword.
7. Indonesia and Malaysia.
Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. May one ask, ’Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?’
8. East Coast of Africa.
Similarly, Islam has spread rapidly on the East Coast of Africa. One may again ask, if Islam was spread by the sword, ’Which Muslim army went to the East Coast of Africa?’
9. Thomas Carlyle.
The famous historian, Thomas Carlyle, in his book ’Heroes and Hero worship’, refers to this misconception about the spread of Islam: ’The sword indeed, but where will you get your sword? Every new opinion, at its starting is precisely in a minority of one. In one man’s head alone. There it dwells as yet. One man alone of the whole world believes it, there is one man against all men. That he takes a sword and try to propagate with that, will do little for him. You must get your sword! On the whole, a thing will propagate itself as it can.’
10. No compulsion in religion.
With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur’an says in the following verse:
’Let there be no compulsion in religion:
Truth stands out clear from error’
[Al-Qur’an 2:256]
11. Sword of the Intellect.
It is the sword of intellect. The sword that conquers the hearts and minds of people. The Qur’an says in Surah Nahl, chapter 16 verse 125:
’Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord
with wisdom and beautiful preaching;
and argue with them in ways that are
best and most gracious.’
[Al-Qur’an 16:125]
12. Increase in the world religions from 1934 to 1984.
An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235%, and Christianity had increased only by 47%. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?
13. Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe.
Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The fastest growing religion in Europe in Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?
14. Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson.
Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson rightly says, ’People who worry that nuclear weaponry will one day fall in the hands of the Arabs, fail to realize that the Islamic bomb has been dropped already, it fell the day MUHAMMED (pbuh) was born’

Great Battle of Badr
This is the day Allah calls in the Qura’an *يوم الفرقان يوم التقى الجمعان*
The battle of Badr between Muslims, led by the Prophet and Quraish of Makkah led by Amr bin Hisham bin Al-Mugheirah Al-Makhzoumi, known as Abu Jahl, near the wells of Badr in the Southern parts of Madinah took place on March 13, 624AD corresponding to 17th Ramadan 2H and ended up with a big victory for Muslims and the death of Quraish Leader, Abu Jahl Amr bin Hisham bin Al-Mogheirah Al-Makhzoumi.
Note: Students should be taught that the point of these wars was not war in itself. The Muslims were aggressed against in this battle yet they maintained complete justice. Allah says in the Qur’aan:
* اعدلوا هو أقرب للتقوى*
‘Be just. That is the closest to piety‘.

Reasons for battle
Muslim went out to block the way of Quraish caravan led Abu Sufyan. The caravan was coming from Sham Region, Muslims tried to intercept the Caravan, was to restore their wealth taken from the Muhajiroun by Quraish when they were at home in Makkah, before and during their migration to Madinah, as most of the migrants had left their money in Makkah.
Description of Caravan
Almost every person in Makkah had contributed some money in that Caravan which was led by Abu Sufyan went to S ham Region and was then returning to Makkah. It was said that the value of trade items in it was about fifty thousand Dinars, and one thousand camels, and most of its load belonged to the family of Sa’id bin Al-Aas, who had four thousand weights of gold, and Bani Makhzoum who had about two hundred camels, while, Al-Harith bin Amer got one thousand weights, and Omayah bin Khalaf two thousand weights, and Bani Abd Manaf (the sons of Abd Manaf) ten thousand weights “1”.

Advent of the Caravan
The news reached Muslims that a Caravan of led by Abu Sufyan bin Harb has come from the Levant, carrying a large quantity of trade for Quraish, and the number of men guarding it was estimated to be ranging between thirty to forty men from Quraish, including Makhramah ibn Nawfal, and Amr ibn Al-Aas When the information came to the knowledge of the Prophet, he commissioned Muslims to them and said: This is the Caravan of Quraish, holding their wealth, so go out to get them, may God make it for you.
People got ready, some had weapons and others did not because they did not think that there would be war, so those only got a means of transportation.
When Abu Sufyan got near to Al-Hijaz, he began to grope for the news from the travelers and caravans, out of fear for the wealth of Quraish from the Muslims. He got information from some travelers that Mohammad has mobilized Muslims for the Caravan and put them on alert. He, was cautious, and hired Damdam bin Amr Al-Ghafari and sent him in a mission to Makkah to call upon Quraish to come out and defend their monies, and to tell them that Mohammad may attack the Caravan, and Damadm quickly marched to Makkah.
When he arrived in Makkah Damdam went speedily to Makkah.
The sooner had Damdam arrived to Makkah than he cut off his camel, and changed his saddle and baggage and ripped apart his shirt, and stood over his camel at the belly of the Valley screaming: “O Quraish, Help . . . Help, your wealth with Abu Sufian has been intercepted by Mohammad and his companions, and I do not think that you can overtake them, Help . . Help.
Quraish gets ready to go
Site of Battle of Badr
Quraish began to get their arms and men for the fight, and said: Do Mohammad and his companions think that our Caravan is the same like the Caravan of Al-Hadrami? Certainly not. They agreed that all the men and Masters of Quraish would proceed to Mohammad, and he who cannot go, would send another man in his place, but no one of its Ashraf (Noblemen) stayed away except Abu Lahab, as he sent Al-Assi bin Hisham Ibn Al-Mogheirah in his place, due to the fact that Al-Assi owed him four thousand dirham, and therefore Abu Lahab charged him with this mission.
Omayah bi Khalf tried to retreat and withdraw, as he was a fat old man, but Oqbah bin Abi Meit came to him while he was among his people, saying to him: “O Abu Ali, Istajmir i.e use this perfume as you are only a women. Omayah replied: “Shame on you, and shame on what you have brought”, and then prepared his weapon and horse and came out with the people.
Before Quraish moved out some feared that because of the state of war between Quraish and Bani Bakr ibn Abd Manat bin Kinanah, as they believed that Banu Bakr may exploit the situation and attack their homes while they are busy in the campaign against Muslims. Suraqah bin Malik bin Jashm Al-Madlaji, who is one of the nobility (Ashraf) of banu Kinanah, said: I will protect you if Kenanah came behind you and did something which you do not like”.
Many Muslims believe that the person who defended Quraish of Bani Bakr was not Suraqah, but rather the devil, Satan, itself, and they believe that he came in the form and the shape of Suraqah and said what he said to Quraish.
Status of Muslims as they left Al-Madinah
Historical information says that Muslims left A-Madinah on Monday the 8th of Ramadan. The Prophet asked Amr ibn Umm Maktoum to lead the remaining people in Medina in prayer, but some sources say that the name of the person was not Abdullah bin Umm Maktoum, but Abu Lebabah.
The banner was given to Musab bin Umair, while other sources say that there were two black banners in front of Mohammad, one with Ali bin Abi Talib called Al-Uqab and the other was with Sa’ad bin Mu’az.
Muslims used only seventy camels, so each 3 were taking turns in the ride on each camel.
MuslimsWay to Badr
Muslims took off from Madinah in the direction of Makkah, then to Al-Aqiq, and then to Zul Halifah then passed by Ulat Al-Jaish. They then passed by Terpan, then passed on to Malal, then Ghamis Al-Hamam, from Mrien, then on Sukhayrat Al-Yamam then proceeded to Al-Sayalah, then to Dbayeh.
Then Muslims continued their way and passed by Sagsag, which was a well of Al-Rawha’a, then arrived at Al-Munsaref where they left Makkah road to the left and turned right through the Nazeyah on their way to Badr, until they reached the valley of Ruhakan, which is a valley between the Nazeyah and the Strait of Al-Safra’a and then arrived at the village of Al-Safra’a
At this point, Mohammad “peace be upon him” sent Sibs bin Al-Juhani and Uday ibn Abi Zaghba’a Al-Juhani on an exploratory mission to provide him with the news about the caravan of Abu Sufyan. Upon the arrival of the Muslims to the village of Al-Safra’a which is situated between two mountains, Mohammad asked about the name of the mountains and was told that one of them was called Musallaha and the second was called Mukhri. The people are Banu Al-Nar and Banu Harraq, who are from Bani Ghaffar, and he hated to pass among them and therefore left them and turned right on his way to Wadi Zafran.
Arrival of news that Quraish has come out to Muslims and their Caution
The news received say that the infidels Army came out to confront Muslims. To fight the infidels in a war was not an option that Muslims had thought of, but rather the target was for the financial benefits from the Caravan. Also the Ansar in Aqaba pledge of allegiance stipulated that they would protect the Prophet Mohammad in Al-Madinah only, and repudiated such protection until he enters to them in Al-Madinah, as they told him then:
O Messenger of Allaah, you are not under our protection until you arrive at our City, and once you reach us, you will become in our custody, and we will protect you from anything of which we protect our children and our women.
So, Prophet Mohammad consulted with his Companions, and both Abu Bakr and Omar ibn al-Khattab talked, then Al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad said:
O Messenger of God. Go for what God Has shown you. We are with you And I swear by God that we shall not say to as Bani Israel had said to Moses: “Go thou and thy Lord and fight ye two, while we sit here and watch”. Rather we would say: “Go thou and thy Lord and fight ye two and we will fight with you. Surely, we swear by God Who sent you with the rightness, if you walked with us to the pools of Al-ghamad (a place in Yemen), we would follow you until you reach it.
The Prophet then directed his speech to the Ansar, saying: Give me your advice. . you people, and Sa’ad bin Muaz said to him:
It seems that you meant us, O Messenger of God?
The Prophet Muhammad said: Yes.
Sa’ad said: We have believed in you and accepted your words as true, and testified that your call is the rightness, and gave you our pledges and covenants. We swear by God who sent you with the rightness that if you entered that sea with us, and plunged into it, we would plunge with you, and no one will stay away, and we do not hate to meet our enemy tomorrow, and we are patient in the war, true in meeting the enemy, maybe God will show you what would please you. So go ahead and lead us, with God’s blessing.
Prophet Mohammad said: Go ahead and be cheerful. God has promised me either a martyr or victory I swear by God that I almost now their deaths.
After that, Muslims continued their way from Zafran, and passed by an area called Al-Asafer, then went to a town called Al-Dubbah, and then made a great dune like the great mountain called Al-Hanan on the right hand, and encamped close to Badr.
Prophet Mohammad advanced with Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, until they reached Sufian Al-Damari, one of the Arab sheikhs in the region, and Prophet Mohammad asked about Quraish, and about Mohammad and his Companions and what information reached him about them. Al-Damari said: I will not tell you unless you tell me who are both of you? The Prophet said to him: If you tell us, we will tell you.
Al-Damari said: Is this for that? And Mohammed answered: “Yes. Al-Damari said: I learned that Mohammad and his Companions went out on day so and so, and if such information is true, they must be today at the place so and so (and it was indeed the same place where the Muslims actually arrived) and I have heard that Quraish went out on the day so and so, and if such information is true, they must be today at the place so and so. When he finished giving the information, he said: From where are both of you? They said: We are from “Ma’a” means Water in Arabic, and then set off.
When he returned to his camp, Ali ibn Abi Talib, Zubair bin Auwwam, and Sa’ad bin Abi Waqas, went out towards the water of Badr, and captured young men from Quraish who were to bring water, including Aslam, the boy of Abul Hajaj and Areed Abu Yasar, the boy of Bani Al-A’as bin Sa’id, and brought them to the Muslims’ camp and the Prophet Mohammad was praying by then, so they interrogated them, and they said: We are water providers of Quraish, and they have sent us to bring them water, but they did not believe them and beat them, and the two young men were forced to lie and said that they belong to Abu Sufyan, hoping that Muslims would be tempted to get a ransom. When Prophet Mohammad finished his prayer, he said to Ali and his Companions: “When they tell the truth, you beat them, and when they lie, you leave them? They have said the truth; they belong to Quraish, so tell me about Quraish? They said: Quraish are behind that dune which you see and Dune Alaknqal. Prophet Mohammad said to them: What is the number of the people? They said: they are many, he asked: “What is their equipment? They said: We do not know. He said: How many animals they slaughter every day? They said: sometimes nine, and sometimes ten. He said: the number of the people ranges between nine hundred and one thousand… Then he said to them: Who are the Ashraf of Quraish among them? They said: Otbah bin Rabi’a, Shaibah bin Rabi’a, Abul Bakhtari bin Hisham, Hakim bin Hezam, Nawfal ibn Khuwaylid, Al-Harith bin Amer bin Nawfal, Tuaimah bin Uday ibn Nawfal, Al-Nadar ibn Al-Harith, Zama’a ibn Al-Aswad, Abu Jahl ibn Hisham, Omayah bin Khalaf, Nabih and Munabeh, the sons of Al-Hajjaj, Suhail bin Amr, and Amr ibn Abd Wed. Prophet Muhammad went out to the Muslims and told them: That is Mekkah has thrown to you her most honorable sons.
Flight of Abu Sufyan with the Caravan and Asks Quraish to return
Muslims were able to monitor the escape of the caravan, and Abu Sufyan sent to Quraish to tell them that the Caravan had survived, and there is no need for them to fight the people of Yathrib. But Abu Jahl refused and had wanted to challenge, and said his famous words: “We will not go back until we arrive at Badr where we would stay for three days to slaughter animals, eat food, and drink wine, and the female singers would play music for us. The Arabs of the Desert will fear us for good. However, “Bani Zahrah” did not respond to this call, went back and did not fight.
The Battle
The polytheists arrived to Badr and encamped at the valley, while Muslims went down at the lower part of the valley, and Muslims built a bower for the Prophet on a hillock, and he continued to pray fervently, saying: “O God. Quraish had come with her conceit and arrogance to accuse your messenger of lying. . O God, grant us the victory which You Have promised me? . If this gang were destroyed today You will not be worshipped on the Earth,” and his cloak fell off his shoulders, so Abu Bakr told him: “O Messenger of God be sure that God will fulfill His promise to you.”
Muslims have filled up the wells of Badr with stones and sand after they took their water, so that the polytheists would not be able to get water. Before the battle began, three noble men of Quraish, namely: Otbah bin Rabi’a, and his brother Sheibah, and his son Waleed ask the Muslims to fight a duel with them. Three of the Ansar but they said, saying: “O Muhammad, bring forward our equivalent counterparts our cousins”, so the Prophet “peace be upon him” called on Ubaidah ibn al-Harith and Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib, and Ali bin Abi Talib Hamza encountered Sheibah in the combat and killed him, and Ali encountered Al-Walid and killed him, then Obaidah combated with Utbah, and they wounded each other, so both Hamzah and Ali attacked Otbah and killed him, and the war became intense and raging. God supplied the Muslims with angels to fight with them, and the Qur’an said: “Yea, — if ye remain firm , and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels making a terrific onslaught” . Thus, the battle ended in victory for Muslims and they defeat of the infidels, and seventy of the infidels were killed while seventy others were taken as prisoners. . The Martyrs among the Muslims were fourteen, and Muslims have thrown the dead bodies of the infields into one big hole. As for the prisoners, the Messenger took 4000 Dirham for each prisoner of war in compliance with the advice of Abu Bakr. However, the prisoner who did not have the redemption was given ten of the Muslim boys to teach them reading and writing.
The Return to Medina
And then the prophet left victoriously and triumphantly, along with the prisoners and loots. When he arrived at Al-Safra’a, he divided the loots and beheaded Al-Nadar ibn Al-Harith bin Caldah, and when he arrived at Irq-Dbayeh, he beheaded Oqbah ibn Abi Meit. The Prophet then entered Madinah successful and victorious, causing fear to every enemy in Madinah and its surroundings, and many people embraced Islam, and it was then that Abdullah bin Ubai Al-Munafiq and his companions have entered in Islam with pretense.
Redemption of Prisoners:
The Prophet gave freedom to the prisoners and released them on condition that anyone who knows writing, reading would teach 10 of the illiterate Muslims.

Interestingly enough, though Saudis officially abolished slavery in 1962 at the face of international outcry, but many Muslims in the Arab world are now demanding return of the slavery system. While slavery is well established by Sharia rules, many Muslim scholars of today’s world argue to accept the fact that sex slavery is also endorsed by Sharia. Sex slavery though sound to be something of bad taste to civilized people in the world, such slavery are even accepted by many of the Arab women, who believe their men must enjoy as many as concubines, made available through sex slavery for prolonged manhood and vigor.
Making of the devil:
In most of the Arab affluent societies, especially within the royals, when a boy reaches his 7th birthday, two or three foreign female maids are recruited for him. Most of such females are from countries like Tunisia, Morocco and African continent. The female maids for this special purpose are required to be within the age limit of 18-25. These women are given responsibilities of increasing manhood and vigor of the boy-child and well make him sexually strong. On each morning, the child is offered various types of fruit juice and soup. During night, before going to bed, these women give a special massage on the boy’s genital with a lotion made of honey and saffron. Such massage continues for 30-40 minutes and after this, the infant is offered a glass of milk mixed with musk. Such process continues for 3-4 years, till the boy starts feeling sexual pleasure. At this time, the maids are obliged to offer him oral pleasure as well as in some cases, sexual intercourse. Some of the oil-rich sheikhs dream of their son becoming adult by sleeping on the nude females. That is why, some of the female maids, who are hired to serve the young boys are required to be totally naked and sleep with the boy. Some of the rowdy Arab fathers even ask the maids about the ‘vigor’ of his son while having sexual intercourse. In this process, by the time the boy turns 18, he is a real devil and lady-eater maniac.
Perversion:
Recently, statement of a Kuwaiti woman named Salwa al-Mutairi who is called an “activist” and former candidate to the Kuwaiti parliament, spoke to the Kuwait Times about the establishment of a new law permitting men to buy and sell non-Muslim girls, captured in jihad, as sexual slaves in order to protect Muslim men against seductive sexual immorality. She advocates allowing Kuwaiti Muslim men to have non-Muslim females as slave girls and have sexual pleasure on them, without marriage, which is permitted by Quran. It is allowed for Muslim men to have sex with slave-girls without marriage. She was especially interested in Russian slave girls since Muslim men do prefer them blond – Russian, European and American blond women. Mutairi is not the only Muslim woman demanding return of sex-slavery and using ‘non-Muslim’ women as the ‘object of sacrifice’ in the harems of Muslim men, there are many Muslims like her in the Arab world in particular who advocate “rape of Jewish females”.
Mutairi, defending her claim gave the example of 8th century Islamic ruler Haroun al-Rashid, who ruled over an area covered by modern-day Iran, Iraq and Syria and was said to have 2,000 concubines. She recommended that offices could be opened to run the sex trade in the same way that recruitment agencies provide housemaids.
She suggested shopping for prisoners of war so as to protect Kuwaiti men from being tempted to commit adultery or being seduced by other women’s beauty.
“For example, in the Chechnyan war, surely there are female Russian captives. So go and buy those and sell them here in Kuwait. Better than to have our men engage in forbidden sexual relations.”
In an attempt to consider the woman’s feelings in the arrangement, Mutari conceded that the enslaved women, however, should be at least 15. Mutairi said free women must be married with a contract but with concubines “the man just buys her and that’s it. That’s enough to serve as marriage.”
It may be mentioned here that, similar type of marriage on contract or temporary marriage [known as Muta’aa] is very much in practice inside Iran. According to Iranian law, such marriages are legal. Though, scholars of Sunni sect of Muslims oppose such temporary marriages. But, Sharia law does permit keeping sex-slaves.
Mutairi also endorsed it in her statement. She said that during a recent visit to Mecca, she asked Saudi muftis – Muslim religious scholars – what the Islamic ruling was on owning sex slaves. They are said to have told her that it is not haram [forbidden]. The ruling was confirmed by ‘specialized people of the faith’ in Kuwait, she claimed.
“They said, that’s right, the only solution for a decent man who has the means, who is overpowered by desire and who does not want to commit fornication, is to acquire jawari.” [Jawari is the plural of the Arabic term jariya, meaning ‘concubine’ or ‘sex slave].
While most of the Kuwaiti people have strongly reacted to Mutairi’s comment, labeling her as ignorant and “mad”, the Sharia and Arab conception of relations between men and women is strange enough. It says Muslim women should never choose their lovers as it is the exclusive right of the men. Sharia considers women as “play ground for men”.
It may be mentioned here that, in Arab world, Christian girls in particular are abducted by the Muslim men, forcefully married and after bearing couple of children are disposed off like trash. Egyptian law does not allow these girls to be back to Christianity while the kids get their father’s religion. Such trends of abducting non-Muslim girls are continuing in most of the Muslim nations. In Bangladesh alone, during 2009-2010, more than one thousand Hindu girls were abducted and forcefully converted into Islam. In most cases, law enforcing agencies decline to register any complaint of the parents or guardians of the abducted girl. Every year, at least a few thousand non-Muslim girls are forcibly converted into Islam. Surprisingly enough, while the law turns blind eyes on such notoriety; some of the Islamic NGOs continue to provide findings to those Muslim men, marrying a non-Muslim girl, thus actually, encouraging such abduction and forceful conversion.

Prostitution, brothel, pimping, nightclubs, cabarets, bars and pubs are unofficially legal in Lebanon, similarly as a number of Muslim nations. Amongst the Arab nations, Lebanon is known as “Brothel Country”, where prostitution and brothels are found almost everywhere. Twenty minutes north of Beirut, in the Christian heartland of Lebanon is Jounieh, the country’s little Las Vegas, where dozens of “super nightclubs,” Lebanon’s equivalent of strip clubs, line the main street. At least 9,000 females from Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Dominican Republic are working in the Lebanese adult entertainment industry, consisting more than 150 “super nightclubs”. According to Lebanese immigration law, these foreign girls are allowed to work inside the night clubs as “artists”. In addition to tourists, Lebanese men visit these brothels for casual sex instead of having extra wives. Lebanese men like the blondes, mostly from ex-Soviet republics and the average age of the customers range between 40-60 years. There is also substantial demand for women from Lebanon itself [though it is legally forbidden for Lebanese women to be engaged in sex industry] as well as Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Palestinian who also engage in a large number in sex industry.
Lebanon, a country where pre-marital sex is still frowned upon and where a young couple kissing in the street may be reprimanded by police, female sex workers – some of whom are still legally minors – can sometimes be seen on the hunt for wealthy clients, particularly men from the oil-rich Gulf seeking an outlet in a country dubbed the most liberal in the Arab world.
Lebanese super nightclubs are actually the pick up point of girls. Men are not allowed to speak with “artists” inside the super nightclubs unless they pay for it. Customers pick the woman they want to talk to by walking through the club or seeing the woman dance or perform on stage. Many clubs offer a “cabaret” beginning at midnight, where women perform dance routines to European and Arabic music and swing on polls dressed in a variety of tight, low-cut and short-skirted costumes. In order to speak with one of the female artists, a customer must order “champagne” or “picolot,” and select the woman he wants to sit at his table. The champagne has nothing to do with a bottle of alcohol: the term is merely super nightclub-speak for having one of the artists sit at a customer’s table for exactly an hour and a half. A “picolot” is similar “code” for having a woman sit with a customer for a half hour. Champagne usually costs around US$60 to US$80, and a picolot around US$30 to US$35. A customer may negotiate one or two drinks to be included in the cost of the “Champagne”. A “Picolot” usually includes one drink. The super nightclubs are not cheap places to grab a drink without sitting with a woman: a can of beer costs US$15. Once the women are ordered, they arrive at the customer’s table, sit down and strike up conversation. A waiter brings drinks. Few of the women speak English, but as one of the female “artists” at a super nightclub said, “Many Lebanese speak Russian.”
Often the women immediately initiate physical contact with a customer by putting a hand or arm on the man’s leg. Kissing is permitted in super nightclubs, as is light petting, but anything beyond that is strictly prohibited by most clubs, since it could get them in trouble with General Security. But with the purchase of “champagne,” a customer also purchases the right to make a “date” with the woman, supposedly with her consent, within a week of the purchase. The date is often code for sex. When an Executive staff member visited a super nightclub posing as a customer, Julia, the Dominican artist, made it very clear what services she could provide beyond dancing and sitting with customers.
If the customer purchased “Champagne”, he can spend exactly an hour and half with the woman enjoying drinks and talking. But sex inside the nightclubs is not permitted. Once the customer settles the “date” with the girl, she will meet him at customer’s own place or a place arranged by the super nightclub management. Generally girls are allowed to “date” with the customers during 1:00 – 8:00 pm, as according to Lebanese regulations, the “artists” are supposed to be available at the super nightclubs between 8:00 pm to 5:00 am. It is also mandatory for them to be available at the hotel they stay between 5:00 am to 1:00 pm, which allows the Lebanese police to keep the industry tightly regulated; it also allows the club owners to dominate the women’s lives and restrict their movement. To safeguard their investment, super nightclub owners keep a tight leash on their “product.” Club owners take their female employees’ passports, and it is regular practice for owners to lock the doors of the hotel between 5:00 am and 1:00 pm.
According to official estimation, every year more than 3 million pleasure-seeking tourists arrive in Lebanon, which is known as “Boobs and Booze Tourism”. Approximately 150,000 local and foreign “artists” are engaged in Lebanon’s ever-flourishing flesh industry. The billions of dollars generated by tourism are estimated to have contributed up to 25 percent of Lebanon’s GDP, although there are no precise figures available. Economists say the benefits are mainly being captured by wealthy elite of hotel, restaurant and beach club owners.
The nightclubs’ owners characterize their sector as a legitimate and legal business model that presents entertainment and brings women and men together. The super nightclub business is regulated by the government, with permits given by the Ministry of Tourism and oversight by General Security. A small super nightclub in Lebanon engages minimum 15-20 women while they have 15-20 customers buying “Champagne”.
A permit for a super nightclub is a one-time cost of US$1,000. Nightclubs pay the women anywhere from US$800 to US$1,200 per month, depending on their ability to dance and perform. A woman also receives US$5 for each “Champagne” she is hired for, and US$3 for every “picolot” sold to her customer. They can make up to US$400 to US$500 a month extra from the ‘bottles’ they sell. Owners must deposit around US$650 at General Security for each woman. Clubs must also pay around US$2,500 per month for the hotel where the women live. There are “two to four women per room, each one gets a bed, and some hotels have seven different clubs renting out the hotel rooms.
Club owners find women from around the globe through the use of what are called “impresarios.” These are the middlemen, the agents who find women in their home countries and arrange for them to come to Lebanon. George says he pays an agency based in Eastern Europe between US$200 and US$400 a month to find artists. Thousands of agencies are working in favor of Lebanese super nightclubs, that collects photograph and CVs of the girls and send them to the owners of the clubs in Lebanon for approval. In most cases, intending girls are required to provide their full nude pictures in different directions for such approval process.
Once recruited, women are required to pay for their air passage, while the recruiter pays for visa and medical fees which include a periodic mandatory pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease test. These women are issued six months visa to stay in Lebanon, under “artist” category. Most of the club owners either return the girls in 3-4 months, while there also is inter-exchange of girls within the clubs. In most cases, on an average, a woman makes US$ 100-200 a day from selling sex to customers during her free time, while she earns around US$ 300 a day from the club. During free time, generally the women sell sex for US$ 100 for every 30 minutes. In addition to prostitution under the cover of super nightclubs, there also is street-prostitutes, most of whom are locals and some are Syrians and Sudanese. A local hooker paddles sex on the street to customers for US$ 5-20. There also are some super nightclubs in Lebanon, which either has hotels right on the next door or maintain “special rooms” at the backyard, which is used by the customers for having sex with the woman picked up from the club. Such special rooms cost between US$ 30-50. In addition to the street-side hookers, there also are “high-class prostitutes” in Lebanon, who mostly target oil-rich Arab sheikhs. These high class prostitutes live in luxurious apartments, with chauffer-driven cars, thus entertaining the Arab sheikhs for a US$ 1000-1500 per night. Many of such high-class prostitution continue under the garb of escort service, interpreter service or even meditation centers.

Mary Doreen, a Western nurse, who lived in Saud Arabia for many years, wrote a book on her experiences while working at King Faisal Specialized Hospital and Research Center. Describing the minds of Saudi men, she wrote: “Some Saudis believe that they must have sex five times a day, either before or after prayer. When a woman is menstruating, she is considered ‘unclean’, and it is forbidden for a man to have sexual relations with her. If all his wives are menstruating at the same time, [which frequently happens when several women live together], it is a man’s duty to seek sexual gratification outside of the home. A proud Saudi man wouldn’t defile a Saudi woman, and if a slave or servant or foreign national prostitute is unavailable, he thinks nothing of traveling to Egypt, UAE or Thailand. Sexually transmitted disease is rampant within the country.” Doreen also wrote quoting Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, a revered religious clergy in Saudi Arabia, who said “is part of jihad and jihad will remain as long as there is Islam.” So, does it mean, the members of the Saudi royal family as well as Saudi aristocrats are having slaves, although the Saudi rulers always continue to vehemently deny the existence of any slaves [in 1962, King Faisal abolished slavery in Saudi Arabia by royal decree] in that country. But in reality, women and girls from Third World countries are purchased to serve in aristocratic households throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They come from the Sudan, Tunisia, Thailand, Ethiopia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Philippines. Most of the poor parents or legal guardians of the females sell their girls and women to members of Saudi royals or even Saudi aristocrats, thinking, their children will live in luxury and comfort. A Saudi rich man, who purchases a female slave, believes that he has performed a charitable act by rescuing a family from abject poverty while delivering his slave into a fate worse that death. He brings the young girls into his harem, dump them in the basements. The slave is provided food and little bit of comfort, in exchange, she is regularly raped by her master and other male members of the family, as well tortured and persecuted by mostly female members of the family. This type of cases of slavery is not rare in Arab world, and of course Saudi Arabia is no exception. But on the other hand, such cases mostly get buried into bunch of wrong, false or bullying information packed into various websites. One such site has given series of descriptions on wrong sexuality of the Saudi royals, which will surely be proved as false propaganda of extremely naïve hands. Here is another site which also fails to give any credible information on sexual abuse inside Saudi Palaces and harems of the Saudi sheikhs. For the sake of credibility and accuracy of information, such websites should always be ignored as source of information, for knowing about sexual abuse of women inside Arab harems. It should also be mentioned here that, some of the information in these sites may be even wrongly described or half-truth. The Philippines government, responding to dozens of tragic cases of maltreatment, has warned young women going to work as maids in Saudi Arabia that they will be sexually harassed by Saudi men and slapped and tortured by their Saudi mistresses. The labor ministry says “You have to ward off advances by your master, his brother, son and other male members of the household.” In 1982, a Miami judge issued a warrant to search Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz’s 24th-floor penthouse to determine if he was holding an Egyptian woman, Nadia Lutefi Mustafa, as sex slave, against her will. Prince Turki and his French bodyguards prevented a search from taking place, and then won retroactive diplomatic immunity to forestall any legal unpleasantness. Wealth and Privileges of Saudi Princes: In late 1960s King Faisal issued a decree that every inch land of the country that was not officially registered to a private individual belonged to the Saudi royal family. Thus the entire country is treated as private property of the Royal family. The King distributed much of the land to royal family members. Princes sold some of the land back to the state and some to the public, but most they kept for themselves. Inside major cities or out in the remote desert, the country’s vast landmass remains private property of the Princes now numbering over 5000. They also treat entire Saudi oil revenues as their private wealth. Every Prince or princess is entitled to a monthly salary starting the date of his/her birth. Minimum monthly salary for the prince is US$ 150K while princess is US$ 50K, which starts on the moment of their birth and continues up to their 11th birthday. Then the salary amount is re-adjusted with higher amount. And, the money accrued, up to their 11th birthday is either invested in business in Saudi Arabia or in some of the Western countries. This way, each of the Saudi princes, before reaching their 16th birthday, already turn into a multi-millionaire. The closer the relation to Late King Abdul Aziz, the higher is the salary. Like, immediate descendants of late King Abdul Aziz receive a 7 digit [millions] salary each month. The Princes are paid separate Salary for each of their official position. Like Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, reportedly holds over 60 separate positions in addition to chairing dozens committees, entitling him to separate salary for every position. Governors are entitled to a special additional payment of Saudi Riyal 1 billion annually to be used at their discretion. In addition, every Prince is entitled to a Luxurious Private Palace or money to build the Palace of his choice, as well as cash from birth to buy expensive cars and other luxuries. Literally every thing is supplied to the Prince free from the State, like electricity, water, medical, security, education, etc. All State developmental contracts are essentially awarded to the companies owned by the Princes. Similarly, their business establishments and other incomes are free from State control and taxes. Anything coming into Saudi Arabia under the name of a Prince via air or sea is not checked by any Government Agency. And what is the current size of Saudi royal family? According to information, up to April 1995, Prince Saud married into more than 30 tribes with 42 sons and 125 daughters. It was claimed that, the prince had married at least 1,400 women. The size of the royal family now should be somewhere above 50,000 members. Almost all the male members of the Saudi royals are polygamists. It will be totally difficult to identify even a couple of princes in the Saudi royal family, who has just one wife and 5-6 children. In most nominal cases, it will be 10-15 wives with at least 3-35 kids. Daily Reckoning reports: “Not many people know that over 90 percent of Saudi oil comes from six oilfields discovered before 1970’s. Experts argue that these oilfields are now well past their prime. Ghawar oil field is the super giant and has provided 55-60 percent of Saudi oil over the past five decades! According to experts, Ghawar is past its peak already and likely to enter into a major decline. Matthew Simmons, Chairman of Simmons and Company International, an investment bank specializing in oil industry says that “Saudi fields are aging much faster. The Saudis need to strip water out of nearly every well and this is a sign that Saudi fields are aging much faster than the industry has planned for.” Jasmine Revolution and Revelations: The spreading fire of ‘Jasmine Revolution’ in the Arab world is not only succeeding in collapsing one-after-another authoritarian regimes, but, with the fall of those autocrats, the world is getting information about the hidden sexualities inside the harems. And it is visible that, rulers in the Arab world are already sweating due to the spread of Jasmine Revolution in nations. For example, Iranian theocrats claim that the popular uprising against their allies in Syria is masterminded by Israel and West. Saudis and Bahrain’s despots claim that the popular uprising in Bahrain is masterminded by Iranian mullahs. King of Saudi Arabia announced early last February that those behind the Egyptian uprising were “foreign infiltrators” and agents. Libya’s Qaddafi even claimed that the rebels were on drugs and affiliated with al-Qaeda. Egypt’s old security agents declared [and some in the military apparently agreed] that the young protesters were high on drugs and free sex. Saudi palace Salafi clerics declared that it is against God and Islam to protest against the regime. |
