A Pakistani kid replies to a video attack on the nation by a junior VHP

Patriotism means love and regard for the country. It is a natural instinct that men loves the place where he gets birth and where he is brought up. It is one of the noblest passions of human nature. The love of country is natural and essential for every one. Man is a social animal. He cannot live alone. He needs the assistance of other human beings. So the people belonging to one country are brothers and they work for the collective interest of the country. They struggle to flourish their country. The man, who works against the interest of his country, is traitor and he does not deserve any sympathy.

The only way to serve Pakistan is that we must be sincere with out country. We must keep our personal interest behind and we must give supreme importance to the demands of our freedom. Country is not just a piece of land. It is not only the collection of mountains, rivers and valleys. It is the heritage of our dreams, aspirations, culture, traditions and our great religion. We love Pakistan because it is the centre of our hopes and future dreams. It is the land of our following generation. We must try to make it strong and undefeatable castle of Islam.

Patriotism is an active virtue. The real love urges man to do every thing in his power for the welfare of his country. It makes him perform his duties honestly and devotedly. Patriotism makes him a good citizen, who is always ready to serve his nation with best of his talents. A good citizen is always ready to give sacrifices for his nation. Patriotism is a sacred passion, which makes the nation really strong and honorable. It is our duty to keep this passion alive in our hearts.

The great wars of the world were won only because of the extreme sense of Patriotism. Only those nations in the world survive and distinguish themselves, whose citizens keep a high and a very positive sense of Patriotism. Pakistan can become a really strong country, when the people of Pakistan are patriots in the real sense of the world. Give you love to your country and it will give you all the blessings.

“Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure”- Abraham Lincoln

PAKISTAN THINK TANK COMMENTARY BY KHURRAM SHAIKH

“Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure”– Abraham Lincoln
The septic regime of Zardari is utilizing corrupt journalists and media men to bash Pakistan Armed Forces.  The Armed Forces Bashing “Dengue” has become highly contagious, because, it is being used as a means to attract wider audience in viewing and readership.
Journalists in Pakistan have a poor reputation.  Although, leaving aside, Dr.Shahid Masood, Talat Hussian, Fahd Hussain, Kamran Khan, Dr.Moeed Pirzada, Kamran Shahid. and a handful of others, most are vulnerable to be bought and sold to the highest bidder. These days, a few countries have opened their deep pockets to feed the journalistic carrions in Pakistan. These journalistic prostitutes will sell their body and soul to the highest bidder.  Recently, a ranting and raving so called rotund so called senior journalistic “hack,” let loose a barrage of filthy oral sewage loaded language against Ahmed Noorani, a Jang reporter.  This was no surprise. Most of these journalistic hacks are in the “Amen,” corner of foreign agencies, who keep their wallets lined with dollars and pounds. For example, Nazir Naji, a corrupt to the core hack, acts as if he is the Yoda of Pakistan.  Pakistan Army bashing has become a fashion and a mark of intellectual prowess.
Pakistan Armed Forces are acting impotent in front of such harsh and gratuitious journalistic treason. The inept silence of armed forces leadership can be blamed on the top. Gen.Kayani has shown lack of resolve to protect the reputation of Pakistan Army. Both, Gen.Kayani and Shuja Pasha are in awe of Uncle Sam and its minion. This has created tremendous resentment in the rank and file of soldiers, sailors, and airmen.
Pakistani people must wake up fom their somnolence, the nation’s defence establishment is being deliberately targeted from within by columnists, like Ayaz Amir, Nazir Naji, and Imtiaz Alam.  These men have a vendetta towards Pak Armed Forces.  It is well within the realm of possibility, that foriegn powers may be encroaching them to lose their sense of balance and fairplay, at the expense of the nations security.  Nations are like children, if we keep abusing them, they disappear.

Prime Minister Gilani changes his statements more often than other politicians in Pakistan. The latest change is his criticism of the Pakistani military. From the politicians to the so-called liberals to the anchors of the umpteen TV shows, they all believe that criticism of the military makes them intellectuals.

The reality about the military belies the critics. Whenever duty called, the sons and daughters of the soil did not hesitate to lay down their lives for the defence and honour of the nation. Instead of demanding rewards or concession for the soldiers’ sacrifices, their families take pride in the ultimate sacrifice their loved ones offered for the nation.

But if the critics would have their way, they would give no credit at all to the military. TV anchors frequently cook up unsubstantiated threats from the military, never missing an opportunity to malign the armed forces of Pakistan. But they don’t mind the extremists blow countless innocent civilians into smithereens.

Every time Pakistan faced a natural calamity, who pulls out the dead from destroyed homes and rescues millions of people during the disaster? While Mr Zardari went on vacation and Mr Gilani visited fake camps, it was the military that was taking care of the injured during the floods. Similarly, politicians like Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who never lifted a finger to help people in calamities, is now shamelessly criticising the military, accusing it of consuming the largest chunk of the national budget. But he is the same person who destroyed the banks of a water channel to save his own properties, and in the process drowned his poor neighbours.

The critics of the military need to realise that members of the same military they all love to bash are tied down in fighting the monsters created by others. It was Naseerullah Babar of the PPP who created the Taliban, and it was the PML-N government of Nawaz Sharif which allowed fundraising for the terrorists by installing donation boxes at every street corner for the so-called Mujahideen.

The critics never talk of the glorious victories of the Pakistani military, like those in the Rann of Kutch and Chawinda. They never mention how the Pakistani air force dominated the skies in wartimes and kept at bay the Indian air force, which is four times the size of the PAF. How many times have they recalled the exploits of PAF aces like M M Alam, who in a single minute shot five Indian warplanes out of sky? If they took pride in their military and bothered to look for them, there are plenty of examples of the valour and courage of the members of the Pakistani armed forces.

Unfortunately, unlike Indians who count even their defeats as victories, we don’t even take credit for our victories. The defeatists tirelessly cite the loss of East Pakistan as an example of the military’s defeat at the hands of India. To begin with, it was a national tragedy and not a defeat of the military. By all accounts, antagonisation of the Bengalis was initiated by politicians like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. But it was the vastly outnumbered military that paid with their blood for the sins of the greedy politicians. Pakistani officers and soldiers were prisoners of war in India after the tragedy of 1971. Interestingly, not one politician became a PoW. Today, some politicians shamelessly boast about their own time spent in jail and want to be rewarded for that. On the other hand, not a single soldier ever demands the smallest compensation for having put his very life in danger for the protection of the country.

Without a doubt, there are a small number of senior military officers whose greed got the best of their values. But the overwhelming majority of officers are honourable and brave men and women, who are ready to sacrifice their lives at a moment’s notice. Shame on the critics for maligning the military, while they themselves, at the first sign of trouble, run away from the scene in their bullet-proof cars. If the critics believe the military is only a burden on Pakistani society, then they should have a parliamentary resolution passed to get the sole functional institution of Pakistan disbanded. Or else they should give it its due honour.

British Case of Sour Grapes: Pakistan Test Win Does Not Sit Well

Stealth Racism is alive and well in Britain. No matter, how much they claim their adherence to racial equality, just below the surface lies the cesspool of blatant racism. British racism is based on arrogance and lack of national pride. Their biggest fear is that the “pakis,” will takeover good old British Isles. May their fear come true. Amen Ironically, Pakistani old men are better than young British lads, so much for the tables being turned.

On The Front Foot: No doubt about it – Pakistan is a country for old men

It may be no consolation to England whatever that they have just been beaten by a bunch of old men.The Pakistan side who inflicted a 10-wicket defeat on the No1 Test team in the world were the second oldest to have taken the field for their country.

With an average age of 30 years and 318 days, they are eclipsed only by the team who drew against West Indies inDecember 1980/January 1981, whose average was 31 years and 44 days. By the time Pakistan played their next Test almost a year later, four of their players over 30 were not in the side. That fate is unlikely to befall this team, who contained seven players who have passed their 30th birthday, the oldest being the captain, Misbah-ul-Haq, 37 years and 234 days when the match started. The youngest player was Asad Shafiq at 25 years and 284 days. Consider that when Pakistan played England at Edgbaston in 2010 they took the field with a side whose average age was little more than 25, among their top 50 youngest teams. Incidentally, Saeed Ajmal, the man of the moment, will be 34 years and 103 days when the Second Test begins on Wednesday. He did not make his debut until he was 31 years and 263 days, pretty senior by Pakistani standards when it is considered that Hasan Raza made his debut at 14 years and 278 days. But it makes Ajmal only the ninth oldest debutant for his country. The seventh oldest, Aizaz Cheema (31 years, 361 days) also played inthe match.

Cricket: Pakistan Bowlers puncture England
DATE: 21 JANUARY 2012POSTED BY : BY DR. ABDUL RUFF
The number one test team for the U.K. has been drowned in Dubai.
Of late, bowling has reinvented itself, crushing all best known batboys without compromises. Australia crushed India, while South Africa thrashed Sri Lanka and Pakistan just shattered all hopes of both England’s team and Indian sport strategist who wanted to see Pakistan crushed by English boys in Dubai so that Indians could derive some extra sadistic pleasure forgetting their own poor fate in Australia.
It seems, in order to prove that their team can win without big batboys, South Africa has asked world No.1 batsman Hashim Amla to rest and he has pulled out of the series owing to” family responsibilities” and veteran Jacques Kallis has been rested for the remainder of the series. But SA won the ODI-3 and sealed the series.
Pakistan has slapped the all powerful UK, a junior part of USA-UK terror twins, right in their face in Dubai playing test cricket. Since England claims to be the top test team today while Pakistan is no where in the map and makes no claims, the Pakistani thrash is too harsh for the poor English boys to digest. England, which asks the UK state terrorists to consume the corpses of fallen Muslims in NATO occupied Islamic nations, thought it was too easy to defeat a weakened Pakistan now.
But the English boys are deadly mistaken. It seems, a new sense of discipline, has given the Pakistanis a chance to put their cricket house in order. Castigated for a lack of unity, consistency and awareness of the pitfalls in the game, some of Pakistan’s most talented players went into oblivion.
This is the 2nd victory for Pakistan in Dubai. This is also the 3rd time that they have inflicted a 10-wicket win over England.
Match fixing is common in cricket and teams do it on behalf of the nations or mediated by mafia. But Pakistan has been made a scapegoat because the NATO terror syndicate in Pakistan wanted to control the regime and military o there by adding insult to injury. The Indo-UK spot-fixing scandal of 2010 destroyed the careers of three of Pakistan’s most exciting talents in Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer. These players also refused to quit cricket in protest against ICC highhandedness and favor of human dignity.
Since the spot-fixing scandal, conspired by Indo-UK to further weaken Pakistani cricket, Pakistan’s decision to appoint Misbah-ul Haq as captain has proved inspired and the team has not looked back, beating the world’s best team England by 10 wickets in the first Test on 18th January in Dubai, the adopted cricket home of Pakistan to play international cricket because of insistence of Indo-UK led ICC not to approve Pakistani stadiums for cricket. Misbah said he has tried to introduce the missing virtues of unity, discipline and focus into the team. Ajmal, who took a career-best 7-55 in the first innings, completed a 10-wicket match haul as Pakistan dismissed England for 160 before scoring the 15 runs needed for victory.
However, any other team would have won the match by one innings after such a turn of fortunes in their favor, but Pakistani team lacked both commitment and will or desire for that. They just wanted to win the match no matter whether with one innings or one run. Gul threw deliberate no-ball t spoil his LBW removing Swann but Swann had to return to play for more t runs to deny Pakistan a real chance for one innings win over the British “masters”.
Of course, an innings win is not that important.
The win gave Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the three-Test series. The second Test starts in Abu Dhabi from January 25 and which won’t be different from this one, but it could only be better if Pakistani boys played with a vision, inheriting the Australian drive against India.
None is too indispensable in cricket. Shoaib Akhtar has gone away because he lost his way and talent, refusing to reinvent himself. There is a need to constantly updating the team with new bowlers and batboys with better training.
In fact Pakistani bowlers are not better than England’s. Nor the British batboys are worse than Pakistan’s. But the fact is rankings in cricket are bogus- both teams and individuals. British team is not the best but they were groomed by others, including India and Australia.
Pakistani team wanted to give credit for the win to its batboys and hence they did not want to win with an innings and waited for the batboys to bat again chasing down meagre 15 runs with 10 wickets in tact quickly with UK help of fast 4s.
Pakistani victory could be explained not by the prowess of its cricketers, but bad cricketers of London which claims the number one slot in test cricket, and controls the other small nations within what is known as UK, imposing its will on other English speaking peoples. Democracy is defined by UK in its own way.
Yes, if there is one bowling attack that has the balance and the variety to win a game within 3 days in the flat tracks of UAE, it has to be Pakistan. Even faster than the Aussies. They have absolutely decimated the so-called number 1 Test side in the world, who looked pretty clueless.
Pakistan still has to re-think about their bowling options, by removing those who do restrict run flow, because England would certainly make necessary amendments to face the “threat”. England would also get generous “tips” from others like India.
It should be noted here that cricketers are not just a foolish crop of mainly school drops outs seeking big honours from regime but they are closely knit network connected with mafias and other similar networks and they have been plying to boost the image of batboys. Bowlers are used just the “helpers”. UK, South Africa, India and Africa and other teams played joint cricket exercises to pursue the common agendas and promotion of rankings. South Africa after “clinching” the ODI series 3-0 has let the SL win the fourth ODI apparently not to offend India by overtaking its ranking. SA also promotes India and others.
But the puncture inflicted upon England by Pakistan in Dubai is so huge that the English boys would have to suffer now and all pleasures of joint cricketism with Indian team in favour of the hosts and celebration of Diwali festivities not long ago in India have just melted away.

Microsoft’s youngest professional Arfa Karim Randhawa dies at 16

Lahore – Arfa Karim Randhawa, the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, died at the age of 16 from complications following an epileptic seizure and cardiac arrest. Karim, a Pakistani, became a Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine, in 2005.
Condolences have been pouring in from all over the world for the girl’s family since she died. Daily Mail reports that Karim went into a coma on December 22, following an epileptic attack and cardiac arrest. She was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital in Lahore and placed on life support at the Intensive Care Unit. IB Times reports that Karim’s condition had been improving when she suffered a tracheotomy complication on Saturday evening and died.
Karim was buried on Sunday in her native village Ram Dewali, Faisalabad, after a funeral prayer in Lahore. The funeral prayer was attended by a large crowd, including Pakistani Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, politicians and Karim’s colleagues.
After Randhawa came to international attention in 2005, when she became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine, she was invited in 2006, at the age of 10, to visit Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington, where she met chairman Bill Gates.
After she was hospitalized, Gates offered to pay for her medical care and proposed moving her to the U.S. for better treatment. Doctors, however, thought that moving her was not in the interest of her health because she was on a ventilator and in a critical condition.
Karim’s father Amjad Karim, thanked Gates for his concern and described his daughter as a “spark that got attention and love from everyone on the globe.” IB Times reports that her uncle said: “We are grieving her loss but she was a strong child. […] She was God’s gift to us and now she has returned to Him.”
According to Express Tribune, Karim was certified a pilot by a flying club in Dubai. She is the youngest ever recipient of the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance. She also received the Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in Science and Technology and the Salaam Pakistan Youth Award.
Pakistan is renaming the IT Media City in Karachi after Karim.
IB Times reports one of Karim’s top quotes: “If you want to do something big in your life, you must remember that shyness is only the mind. If you think shy, you act shy. If you think confident you act confident.”
