White House turns pink a day after Nawaz leaves Washington!

The White House was bathed in pink this evening — coincidentally a day after Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left for Pakistan, after meeting President Barack Obama, with only bagful of promises and assurances and no meat to display.
A White House official explained in a blog post that they lit up the presidential and vice-presidential residences in pink in “honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the millions of families who have battled the disease…”
No pun meant, but Nawaz and the anxious Pakistani nation was expecting Obama and his team to lighten up Nawaz’s day at the White House with greenbacks. Instead, if the Pakistani media has to be taken at face value, N got pink slips instead, on almost all homeworks — drones, Aafia, Kashmir, Musharraf.
According to some, the meet was a complete Whitewash publicly and a NO (Nawaz-Obama) deal privately, according to some.
The White House turned pink after learning a day after Nawaz left that the Pakistani Prime Minister’s teleprompter (scrap of doodled papers) was actually his 1999 vintage Clinton meeting notes.
According to Shaheen Sehbai, Nawaz told the Pakistani community he was in Washington on the invitation of Mr Clinton, an error everyone waited for him to correct in his speech, but he did not even register his mistake and never did so. “Some diplomats said he made the same error in a private meeting as well,” wrote Sehbai.
I’m sure Nawazs gaffes must have turned some faces red. The White House turned pink to tell the PM ‘We hear you’!
PS: October was a bad month for N in 1999.
