Britain has so far lost 176 fighting men and women and many hundreds injured in Afghanistan, and last week was one of the most calamitous weeks when seven British soldiers were killed including their most senior officer, Lt Col Rupert Thorneloe. He was killed alongside trooper Joshua Hammond, in a vehicle unable to withstand a roadside bomb. Many British are openly asking the question: if their soldier’s sacrifices are worthless and if they should be there in the first place?

The West may practice Capitalism; however their system is a reformed Capitalism that was put in place to stabilize their societies under pressure from Communism and revolutions.
